Nestled in the midst of a working farm, Roe Deer Meadow at Carr House Farm is a delightful retreat for families seeking a rustic escape. My recent stay with my husband and daughter highlighted a number of family-friendly amenities that made our visit enjoyable. Upon arrival, we appreciated the self-check-in process, which allowed us to head straight to our tent. The Elderflower Glamping tent was clean, adorned with charming fairy lights and flowers, creating a cozy atmosphere. The thoughtful inclusion of an electric blanket kept us warm on a November evening. We particularly enjoyed cooking breakfast using the provided air fryer, which added a touch of home to our outdoor experience. For our daughter, marshmallow roasting by the fire pit was a highlight, alongside the thrill of spotting sheep and horses nearby. The proximity to Cayton Bay beach and scenic drives to Scarborough and Whitby offered opportunities for family adventures. Though an oversight with bedding caused minor discomfort, the overall experience was memorable. With a distance of just 92 km from the nearest airport, this campsite proves to be an accessible and charming destination for a family getaway. We look forward to returning for a longer stay.
